TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD THEME
Back in 1932 I believe this story began
It was set on a old worn town
And one mysterious man
His tracks showed he was about oh I'd say
6 and one half feet tall
With a scar placed across his face
And yellow teeth to top it all
His hands were forever bloodstained
From all the cats and rats he ate
His eyes seemed to pop out of his head
It was only later that the story was set straight
(CHORUS)
What kind of life is this
To have to hide yourself away
There was no justice here
Prejudice will live to see another day
Later on there was a big fuss
Over Miss Mayella's claims
She said some negro raped her
And Tom Robinson was on the end of her claims
Being the fine man that he was
Mr. Atticus Finch took the case
Knowing his children would suffer
Cause this trial was based solely on race
REPEAT CHORUS
And then the time came for Mr. Bob Ewell to take the stand
Out came the bible and Mr. Ewell raised his hand
And then came the time for Tom
To fess up to the alleged crime
He told the story like it really went
Said he didn't deserve to do any time
Then a tear started to swell in his eye
As he begged them to understand
It was then he made his gravest mistake
Said he felt sorry for her and offered his hand
Miss Mayella's claims were false
They were to cover her dad
He said, "No one will ever miss a black man
No one will even be sad!"
REPEAT CHORUS
Then it came the end
Ad Finem
The jury would descend
And hand a guilty verdict to an innocent man
Then to top off the affair
Mr. Robinson was shot dead
They say that he tried to escape
So they filled him 17 full of lead
What kind of life is this
If someone has to die
There was no justice here
Can't you hear the children cry
On that fateful night
Halloween to be exact
Jem and Scout were walking home
When they got attacked
It started by Mr. Ewell
Having his daily drinks
Then getting enough courage
To try and take it on the streets
Jem broke his arm and poor Scout was scared to death
Then a man came and helped them out
And he was short of breath
Then in the bedroom where we set Jem to rest
I got to see the man
To who I had been such a pest
Arthur 'Boo' Radley was the man in the dark night
Had to help the kids yes he had to fight
"Let the record show", said the sheriff Heck Tate
"Bob Ewell fell on his knife"
There would be no debate
"To tell the truth would mean bad news to Boo
Everyone would disturb him for what he's done for you
To kill a mockingbird I believe is a sin
Let's leave him alone the way he's always been."
AD FINEM
Time stood still for a moment
What I felt was heaven sent
I look and you were innocent
Yet you took a fall for me
(CHORUS)
A sea of rage no dam can hold
Now I lay with this heart so cold
All else has failed and then end
Has finally come
I fear the fire will pierce my skin
Now I'm left alone to search within
I now turn to the good book
And wonder how my faith ever shook
REPEAT CHORUS
LITTLE MYSTERIES
Close your eyes let yourself drift away
From the stress on life and death
I don't need to tell you
You know the rest
Too little time
It seems we have no patience
Even I'm guilty of that
People don't care enough about themselves
To just spend 5 minutes alone
This and that and that and this
There's always something left to do
Never finished, never contemplated no
We need to search inside ourselves through and through
See What lies deep inside
Of the carcass that we abuse everyday
It doesn't matter, day or night
We can find the way
Let us all just sit alone
Contemplate on what should be
Learn to love, learn the things we call
Life's little mysteries
MONOPOLY
Concentration
Isolation
Penetration
No more consolation
Greedy nation
Lost generation
I've seem to have lost my
Self sanitation
Fornication
Masturbation
Is this really god's creation
Inflation
A railway station
All ruled by a corporation
The monopoly is plain to see
In my life I'll never be truly free
CRYSTALLIZED
Humans have crystallized. The glory days are no more. We have lost all love, respect and trust in one another. Now-a-days nobody gives a fuck about anybody but themselves. We have been brought up as a generation to believe that we are safe, to believe we are innocent. But as we grow up we still want that feeling of innocence, but at the same time we give in to every sin we see. Humans expiration date has long since been so I want to know...why are we still here, living on this failed experiment called Earth. Sins have overpowered our morals. Greed,Sloth,Envy,Lust,Gluttony,Wrath and Pride. There are sins happening on every street corner. We have grown accustom to them. They are now just a part of everyday life. So in today's society it's normal to let evil get the best of you. We have crystallized. It's hard to conceive why things turned out the way they did. Now I sit here and ask myself...why doesn't the lord almighty do something? Maybe because even himself didn't expect this out come. All he was searching for was friends. All he asked for was 3 things...to love,to respect and most important to trust him. And what did we do??? We turned our back on him and have forgotten that sins are evil. GREED.SLOTH.ENVY.LUST.GLUTTONY.WRATH.PRIDE. The 7 deadly sins. Why can we not stop ourselves from doing it at least one day. One day is better than none but we can't even do that. I have crystallized. The image of humans is dark. All that's left is the bacteria. It's time to change. The world has got to scream for change before it can happen. But do you know what the problem is? Problem is that we are too tied up. We owe too many things to corporations. So much so that the companies are making the laws around the world. We need help. Let's open up more minds to help us on this expedition or peace. Let's make the myths! Create the legend! The legend of people who wouldn't change to the trend. We wouldn't conform. We wouldn't allow ourselves to crystallize.
